There is an old saying, “East, west, home’s best.” I live in a house in the countryside. There’s a big living room, three bedrooms, a kitchen and a washroom in it. There’re some trees and flowers around my house. The air is really clean. And I often hear birds singing.

There’re four people in my family. They’re my parents, my sister and I. We’re helpful and friendly. And we always get on well with each other.

I’m happy I have a good family. I will do what I can to help do more housework and farm work. I’ll study harder so that I can make more money in the future. With our effort, I’m sure my home will be better and better.

Dear Sir ,

Thank you for invite me to the summer English courses in your school .As for your choice between the two courses , I prefer the four-week course because of it will allow me more time to do traveling and make a little new friends . One Sunday, I was reading my book while it suddenly occurred to me that it was mother birthday the next day. However, I forgot it complete. I was worried that I didn’t prepare any present to her. While playing near my home, I notice a turkey with its head under a rock. It looked stuck. My friends and I watched a while, but the bird couldn’t free it.

I ran home and told my mom, and we decided to call the bird rescue center. When the rescue workers arrived, she helped the bird out from under a rock. She checked to see that its wings were OK, or if it had any wounds or breaking bones. It was only being skinny from not eating. The worker said the turkey would be set freely if it fully recovered. If not, it would stay at the center. After leaving she thanked my mom and me for calling.

My best friends gave me a present in a box on my birthday. It was a little heavy, which made me very curiously. So I intended to open it at once but she prevented me do so. She said I mustn’t open it until I went back home but gave me a naughty smile. Although there is a strong desire in my mind to know that was inside the box, I just did as she said. On the way to home, all I did was thinking about the puzzle. Finally I opened the box. It was a cup printing with a pink word — friendship. It was so lovely that I liked very much. Now, every time I use a cup, I will think about her and the friendship between us.
