Li Hua has been living in the city with his parents after he was born. Chinese swimmer Fu Yuanhui goes viral

China’s women’s swimmer Fu Yuanhui has created a hit online not just by winning the bronze medal in the 100m backstroke competition, but also by her facial expressions during the post semi-final interview with China Central Television (CCTV) on Monday.

When asked whether she held back for the final, Fu replied “No, I used my ‘prehistorical power (洪荒之力)’” What she meant was that she had spared no efforts in the semi-final. Since then, the so-called “prehistorical power” has gone viral and become a new Internet meme.

Britain wins first Olympic diving gold in men’s synchronized 3m springboard(男子雙人3米跳板)

Britain’s Jack Laugher and Chris Mears ended China’s gold medal monopoly (壟斷) over diving events at the Rio Olympics by winning the men’s synchronized 3m springboard final on Wednesday, the country’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in diving.

Laugher and Mears finished with a six-round total of 454.32 points, just 4.11 points ahead of silver medalists Mike Hixon and Sam Dorman of the USA at the Maria Lenk Aquatics Center. China’s Cao Yuan and Qin Kai took the bronze with 443.70 points.

I am so exciting that I can’t wait to share with you what I experienced today. I gave my first lesson in our school, which left me deep impression.

When I entered into the classroom, my students began to make much noise. I stood on the platform not know what to do next. But soon I realized everything must be done. I asked the kids that liked English songs. They all say “Yes.” I sang a song I had practiced many times. To my great surprise, all the kids turned their attentions to my class.

Some research suggests that having one to two drinks of alcohol a day may offer some health benefits．Several large studies have shown that this type of moderate(適量的) drinking may lower the risk of heart disease and other diseases．

A study last year suggested that drinking small amounts of red wine may help lower the risk of breast cancer in women．Researchers at Medical Center in California studied 36 women．Each woman drank a glass of red or white wine every day for almost a month．Researchers collected blood samples from the women two times a month to measure their hormone(激素) levels．The next month the women who drank red wine were told to drink white wine instead．The white wine drinkers were told to drink red wine．The researchers found that the women who drank red wine had lower levels of the female hormone than the white wine drinkers．They said red grapes have chemicals that may help to lower the risk of breast cancer．

However, recent studies suggested that even small amounts of alcohol may generally increase the risk of breast cancer in women．They found that women who drink four small glasses of wine a week increase their risk of breast cancer by 15 percent．

Many studies have examined the harmful effects of alcohol use on the body．Alicia Ann Kowalchuk serves as medical director, saying “Healthy use for adults --- that's men under age 65 --- is no more than 4 drinks in a day and no more than 14 drinks in a week．And for women of all ages, it's no more than 7 drinks in a week and no more than 2 drinks in a day．” She says too much alcohol use has been linked to liver diseases, and many other cancers．

When I first came to China, there were many things I do not understand. Now, I have a better understanding of Chinese culture and find it very interested.

Bargaining is a Chinese custom what amazes me. In the USA, prices are set and you cannot ask for a lower price, when in China, you are expected to bargain with the salespersons in some small stores and tourist spots. I once asked my Chinese friends to teach me how to bargain. They were told me that I should ask for 40 percent or 50 percent off the price. Then, they had better tell the salesperson that the same item is cheaper at another store. If the salesperson does not agree to my price, I should pretend leave and he might ask me to come back and sell me the item for a lower price. But this skill doesn’t work effective every time. In my opinion, bargaining are a skill that I have to practise if I continue to live in China.

This is a unforgettable experience for me, which is beneficial to me.

There used to be a factory near my house. The factory manager was blaming by the government because of the pollution had harmed people’s health. But even then, he paid not attention. Then the factory forced to stop production. The manager said angry, “Is there any fact that we had harmed people’s health yet? In fact, we haven’t.” Just then, a doctor came, with the result of a medical examine, saying the manager was suffering from cancer.
