Last Sunday, Li Yue and Zhang Hua went to Sunshine Nursing home, where they visited for the first time. On their arrive, they were warm welcomed by the elderly. Recently I have taken quite a interest in cooking. I suggest that the school organizes a cooking-learning activity to teach students to prepare any delicious food. It can be really fun and I bet there will be a lot communication going on with students. Besides, it’s a good way to build up team spirits. The school can even hold a competition to see whom can cook the most delicious food. Much importantly, I think cooking is a vital skill for the people nowadays. Dear Mr. Brown,

I’m real glad to receive your letter. As you have seen it, lots of Chinese chose to stick the character Fu on the door upside down during the Spring Festival. This actually expresses their best wish for the new year. In Chinese, the character for “upside down” sounds same as the character for to arrive” so this means that happy is arriving. Quite interested, isn’t it?

On the way, I’d like to invite you to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival with my family after the College Entrance Exam. It’s a day in memory of the great poet Qu Yuan but we usually eat Zongzi and enjoy dragon boat races. It will be a good opportunity to experience Chinese culture and tradition.
