試題分析:本文屬于書信體裁,內(nèi)容是以鼓勵(lì)朋友不放棄學(xué)英語。
【1】receive—received 考察動詞時(shí)態(tài)。 由于本句中just now,故用一般過去時(shí),故用received。
【2】was—am 考察動詞時(shí)態(tài)。
此處為結(jié)構(gòu)the reason is that,故用that。
【6】interests—interest 考察名詞。 Interest做名詞,為不可數(shù),故用interest。
【7】difficulty—difficult 考察形容詞。結(jié)構(gòu)be動詞之后做表語,故用difficult。
【8】be important---be an important 考察冠詞。由于修飾important tool為可數(shù)名詞,故用不定冠詞,故用an。
【9】Beside—Besides 考察副詞。此處為副詞做評注性狀語,故用besides。
【10】more harder—harder 考察比較級。此處為結(jié)構(gòu)the +比較級,the+比較級,由于hard為單音節(jié)單詞,故不用more。

Cars are everywhere. In big city and small towns, the preferred method of transportation is the automobile. People can get to where they need to go quickly and easy, and it has given a new kind of freedom to many people who may not have experienced it ago. But is driving really the best thing for our society? I argue that it is not. First, pollution was a serious problem, and more cars only make them worse. There is just not way to reduce pollution without decrease the number of cars on the road. Second, cars are very dangerous. Traffic accidents are responsible tens of thousands of deaths every year. Finally, cars are so expensive for most people to afford. However, that doesn’t stop low-income families from spending the most of their money to pay for the family car.

I am travelling back with my parents from seeing my grandparents then it started to snow. At first, I thought it was fun and everything looked beautifully. I was looking forward to make a snowman in the playground at school the next day, and suddenly the car drove off road and into a channel. My father called the rescue team, but they said that would be a long time before they could reach us. However, we sang songs and told stories to pass the time. Several hour later, the rescue team pulled their car out of the channel. At last, we managed to drive very slowly to home. I would never forget this experience.

Last week, my teacher told us about our school’s speech contest, which topic was “my hero”. I thought of my grandpa would be my perfect topic. Then I carefully prepared for contest. A couple of weeks later, after the first round I was choosing to be one of the seven finalists! The final was held soon. I was the sixth to giving the speech. After I finished it, I saw the audience discussing and wondering what they were saying. After the last person finished, the judge made their final decisions and announced that I have won the first prize. The audience were going wildly, clapping and cheering! I was extremely happy. It was such exciting a moment that I will always remember it.

【題目】Most people agree that honesty is a good thing. But does Mother Nature agree? Animals can't talk, but can they lie in other ways? Can they lie with their bodies and behavior? Animal experts may not call it lying, but they do agree that many animals, from birds to chimpanzees, behave dishonestly to fool other animals. Why? Dishonesty often helps them survive.
Many kinds of birds are very successful at fooling other animals. For example, a bird called the plover sometimes pretends to be hurt in order to protect its young. When a predator(獵食動物)gets close to its nest, the plover leads the predator away from the nest. How? It pretends to have a broken wing. The predator follows the "hurt" adult, leaving the baby birds safe in the nest.
Another kind of bird, the scrub jay, buries its food so it always has something to eat. Scrub jays are also thieves. They watch where others bury their food and steal it. But clever scrub jays seem to know when a thief is watching them. So they go back later, unbury the food, and bury it again somewhere else.
Birds called cuckoos have found a way to have babies without doing much work. How? They don't make nests(鳥巢). Instead, they get into other birds' nests secretly. Then they lay their eggs and fly away. When the baby birds come out, their adoptive parents feed them.
Chimpanzees, or chimps, can also be sneaky. After a fight, the losing chimp will give its hand to the other. When the winning chimp puts out its hand, too, the chimps are friendly again. But an animal expert once saw a losing chimp take the winner's hand and start fighting again.
Chimps are sneaky in other ways, too. When chimps find food that they love, such as bananas, it is natural for them to cry out. Then other chimps come running. But some clever chimps learn to cry very softly when they find food. That way, other chimps don't hear them, and they don't need to share their food.
As children, many of us learn the saying "You can't fool Mother Nature." But maybe you can't trust her, either.
【1】A plover protects its young from a predator by______.
A. getting closer to its young
B. driving away the adult predator
C. leaving its young in another nest
D. pretending to be injured
【2】By "Chimpanzees, or chimps, can also be sneaky" (paragraph 5), the author means______.
A. chimps are ready to attack others
B. chimps are sometimes dishonest
C. chimps are jealous of the winners
D. chimps can be selfish too
【3】Which of the following is true according to the passage?
A. Some chimps lower their cry to keep food away from others.
B. The losing chimp won the fight by taking the winner's hand.
C. Cuckoos fool their adoptive parents by making no nests.
D. Some clever scrub jays often steal their food back.
【4】Which of the following might be the best title of the passage?
A. Do animals lie?
B. Does Mother Nature fool nimals?
C. How do animals learn to lie?
D. How does honesty help animals survive?
