Last Monday, our monitor announced to our class that an English Song Singing Competition would be held in the school auditorium on Friday afternoon. On hearing the news, some classmates signed up for it immediately. I was considering whether to participate when my English teacher approached and told me that it was a good chance to show off my talent. Encouraged by her, I decided to have a try.

During the following days, I practised the song I picked over and over again until I thought I was well prepared for the coming competition. Then came the big day. I did a really good job and won the first prize, which made me so excited.

By getting involved in the competition I gained more self-confidence and my English was improved a lot. This would certainly be one of the most memorable experiences for me!

Thank you for invite me to the summer English courses in your school .As for your choice between the two courses , I prefer the four-week course because of it will allow me more time to do traveling and make a little new friends . While playing near my home, I notice a turkey with its head under a rock. It looked stuck. My friends and I watched a while, but the bird couldn’t free it.

I ran home and told my mom, and we decided to call the bird rescue center. When the rescue workers arrived, she helped the bird out from under a rock. She checked to see that its wings were OK, or if it had any wounds or breaking bones. It was only being skinny from not eating. The worker said the turkey would be set freely if it fully recovered. My best friends gave me a present in a box on my birthday. It was a little heavy, which made me very curiously. So I intended to open it at once but she prevented me do so.
