It was on a warm autumn day that my father and I walk into my new high school. After visited the classroom, the volunteer took us to the dormitory. Altogether I had five roommates, two of which arrived later. I got to know my new roommate immediately. Although I was quite unwilling to say “goodbye” to my father, but he had to leave to my hometown by train in the evening. It sudden hit me that I had grown up and I had to look after me and live independently. Only then I realize my senior high school life had really begun.
1.walk--- walked
2. visited--- visiting
3. the--- a
4. which--- whom
5. roommate--- roommates
7. leave to 的to改為for
8. sudden--- suddenly
9. me --- myself
10. I realize前加did
這里含有一個(gè)定語(yǔ)從句,關(guān)系詞與two of一起在從句中作主語(yǔ),指人,所以which--- whom。
根據(jù)Altogether I had five roommates, 可知我的室友是復(fù)數(shù)概念,所以roommate--- roommates。
Although與but不能連用,所以Although 和but去掉一個(gè)。
leave for是固定短語(yǔ),意思是動(dòng)身去,所以leave to 的to改為for。
所以me --- myself。
所以I realize前加did。

Mistakes are something did, said or believed, as a result of wrong thinking or understanding, lack of knowledges or skills. No one is perfect, but no one makes no mistake. Because many people are afraid of making mistakes, we don’t believe, say or do much. They behaved like this just because they want to make no mistake. As I said, it’s impossible. Being afraid of making mistakes is mistake itself. Only through mistakes can there be discover or progress. Making mistakes for seeking truth is much more better than doing nothing. Mistakes are the best teachers which guide us through difficulties. Don’t let mistakes scare you. Let’s learn on mistakes.

When I was a little kid, one of my favorite things to do was going to the zoo. I have recently heard that there are debates as to whether elephants should live in zoos or should they wander around free. My position is that elephants should live in zoos for people to see.
Many experts say that elephants have a good life living in zoos. There are 78 zoos that exhibit elephants. Most zoos are taking the necessary steps to make living conditions better for the elephants. They are doing things such as replacing hard floors with sand or dirt. This makes it easier for them to wander around. Zoos are also expanding their elephant house to give the large animals more room to go around.
Zoos also protect endangered species. According to the World Wildlife Fund, in 2014 the total population of African elephants was around 700,000, and the Asian elephant population was around 32,000. The Asian elephants are on a path to dying out. Without zoos, they all are likely to disappear within our lifetime. The National Zoo plans to spend millions of dollars on a new Asian elephant habitat. That way, they can start their own group if the Asian elephants are gone.
There are people who want zoos to empty all of their elephant displays. If they decide to do so, it would take the chance to see elephants up close away from people. That could change the public’s favorable opinion of elephants. National Zoo director John Berry says that allowing visitors to experience the elephants up close encourages people to care about endangered species. During one of my visits to the zoo, it was a very hot day. I was sweating a lot. Big Ben, the largest elephant on display, walked up to me and gently squirted(噴) my face with water from his trunk. Everyone was amazed at what he did. That was a very nice thing for Big Ben to do. I am sure that elephants are the nicest animals on earth. I wish all zoos would keep their elephant displays open to the public. I want all my friends to be able to experience what I did with Big Ben.
I feel zoos should follow all the necessary steps to keep elephants in zoos. I would raise money at my school if I thought it would help to keep elephants in zoos.

A. They are living in a new habitat.
