9.Gregory Kloehn digs through dustbins every day,but not for the reason that most people would think. He isn't homeless. In fact he is trying to help the homeless.
Gregory began his life as a sculptor. But he often felt that his sculptures, which just stood in rich people's houses for years, lacked a meaningful purpose. So in 2011 he decided to put his artistic energies into creating homes to sell-not ordinary homes but small structures built entirely from recycled materials.
The thought of creating homes for the homeless didn't occur to him until the year 2013,when a homeless couple asked him for a tarp(防水布).Instead of a tarp,Gregory offered them something better:a small home with a water tank,a kitchen and a trap(容器) for waste. They were so grateful that Gregory decided to focus his efforts on helping house the homeless population in his city. And soon his"Homeless Homes Project"was started.
Before starting a new home,Gregory, goes hunting for materials by digging through dustbins.Everything he finds is usable-refrigerator doors become house doors; washing machine doors often serve as windows, and the tops of cars become strong roofs. He put wheels at the bottom for users to move their homes around easily. Each home takes two to three days to make.
So far Gregory has donated dozens of homes to the city's most needy. While his small lowcost mobile homes are not the final solution to the problem of homelessness, they are really practical and do provide a warm and safe place for the homeless to stay in.They are simply a way for one man to do something nice for those in need of some help.
Gregory has written a book titled Homeless Architecture, where he explains techniques to build those homes and he is now working on weekend workshops."A lot of people who hear about what I'm doing want to get involved,"he said."Maybe we can meet someplace and put a couple of homes together."

20.Anxiety has now surpassed depression as the most common mental health disease among college students,though depression,too,is on the rise.More than half of students visiting campus clinics cite anxiety as a health concern,according to a recent study of more than 100,000 students nationwide by the Center for Collegiate Mental Health at Penn State.
The causes range widely,experts say,from mounting academic pressure at earlier ages to overprotective parents to engagement with social media.Anxiety has always played a role in the development of a student's life,but now more students experience anxiety so acute that they are seeking professional help.
Anxiety has become characteristic of the current generation of college students,said Dan Jones,the director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Appalachian State University in Boone,N.C.Because of increasingly pressures during high school,he and other experts say,students arrive at college preloaded with stress.Accustomed to extreme parental oversight,many seem unable to govern themselves.And with parents so accessible,students have had less motivation to develop life skills."They can't tolerate discomfort or having to struggle,"Dr Jones said.
More often,anxiety is mild and temporary,the indication of a student under the control of a normal developmental issue-learning time management,for example,or how to handle rejection from a sorority(女生聯(lián)誼會(huì)).Mild anxiety is often treatable with early,modest interventions.But to care for rising numbers of severely troubled students,many counseling centers have moved to triage protocols (分診措施).That means that students with less urgent needs may wait several weeks for first appointments.

33.What results in anxiety mentioned according to the passage?D
A.Overprotection from parents and teachers.
B.The social media pressure.
C.The development of students'life.
D.increasing learning pressure
34.How do many counseling centers deal with some severely troubled students?C
A.To send them to some psychological hospitals.
B.To teach them how to manage time.
C.To move to triage protocols.
D.To treat them with early,modest interventions.
35.Which of the following would be the best title for the text?B

14.I looked at my beautiful Christmas tree and sighed.It was time.The New Year was a week old and my tree still stood in the corner of our room with its collection of memories proudly displayed in a shower of colorful lights.I'd procrastinated long enough.
I got up,went to the garage and dragged all the boxes into the room.I prepared the boxes,and carefully placed the decorations of the tree in their protective packaging,pausing every few minutes to admire a favorite."Hey,little Santa!"I held the Santa from my childhood."Thanks for being my friend for almost fifty years."He was a little ragged but still gives me a flood of wonderful memories."Until next year,my dear friend."
There was collection of handmade ones.My children made in their first years of school,more than twenty years ago.Made by tiny hands,they are far from perfect in design,but every year they go on my memory tree-memories of young giggles on Christmas morning and a smiling face when they handed them to me when I came home from work."Look what we made,Daddy!""Oh!It is beautiful.Let's find a special spot on the tree for it."Every year since,they are displayed.
A few hours after I started,the filled boxes were back in the garage.The room was vacuumed and I sat staring at a barren corner.The room seemed so empty.It took me two days of work to assemble and decorate my tree,but only a few hours to take it apart.
My tree is a good marriage or a great friendship.Like the tree,they take a long time to assemble and decorate with memories,but can be torn down quickly.All it takes is an unkind word or a thoughtless act,and what once stood proudly in the glow of love comes falling down.
Every,year I have to put my tree away,but not my marriage or friendships.I take great care of those.They get to glow in the corner of my life for as long as I live.I get to analyze my tree and find memories for a few weeks every year.I can do the same with the loves in my life every day.When I held the Santa,a flood of   wonderful memories returned.The same happens when I hold my wife or see the smile of a friend across the room.
Take great care of your friendships and your marriage.Once they come down,they aren't as easy to put back together as a Christmas tree,if at all.Stand them in that special spot in the corner of your heart and admire their glow.

Some schools believe that a mule presence-whether it is a male teacher or more involvement from dad at home-is a key factor in motivating boys and improving their grades.Others advocate a more"boy,friendly"environment at school whether it's stocking more books in the library that appeal to boys or trying out different teaching styles in lessons to engage boys in learning.

If your children are primary-aged and struggling with reading or writing,ask their class teacher how you can best help your child.Perhaps their teacher could recommend some short,fm activities you could do together at home or a selection of suitable and appealing books you could read with your child.
If your child is at secondary school and Jailing with all the normal teenage anxieties on top of struggling with their studies*they may just tell you they don't want to talk about it.Explain that you also found some subjects difficult and you want to help if you can.Again,lots of encouragement can go a long way.
