5We hope that more charity shows___hold to raise money for Project Hope

1spoken

2has been given

3polluted

4is being operated

5will be held

考查雙賓語的被動(dòng)語態(tài),根據(jù)句意“沒有任何人獲準(zhǔn)進(jìn)入這座大樓!give sb.permission to do sth.“允許某人做某事”,當(dāng)permission作主語時(shí)用被動(dòng)語態(tài),本題表示對(duì)現(xiàn)在造成的影響,所以用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)的被動(dòng)語態(tài),其結(jié)構(gòu)為:have/has been +動(dòng)詞的過去分詞;permission作主語謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)has,give的過去分詞是given;故答案為:has been given。

根據(jù)題干可知主語和謂語動(dòng)詞pollute之間是被動(dòng)關(guān)系,所以應(yīng)用被動(dòng)語態(tài),根據(jù)have been可知是現(xiàn)在完成時(shí),現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)被動(dòng)語態(tài)是:have + been + 過去分詞,pollute的過去分詞是polluted,故答案為:polluted。

根據(jù)題干中的now,可知用現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài);結(jié)合句意那個(gè)病人現(xiàn)在正在接受手術(shù),主語是動(dòng)作的承受者,要用被動(dòng)語態(tài),現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)被動(dòng)語態(tài)是be + being+過去分詞;主語是單數(shù)形式,be動(dòng)詞用is;be的現(xiàn)在分詞是being;operate的過去分詞是operated;故答案為:is being operated。

根據(jù)題干可知,主語more charity shows是動(dòng)詞hold的承受者,所以應(yīng)用被動(dòng)語態(tài),同時(shí)句意是一般將來時(shí),一般將來時(shí)的被動(dòng)語態(tài)為will+be+過去分詞,hold的過去分詞是held;故答案為:will be held。

第4小題,根據(jù)題干中的now,可知用現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài);結(jié)合句意那個(gè)病人現(xiàn)在正在接受手術(shù),主語是動(dòng)作的承受者,要用被動(dòng)語態(tài),現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)被動(dòng)語態(tài)是be + being+過去分詞;主語是單數(shù)形式,be動(dòng)詞用isbe的現(xiàn)在分詞是being;operate的過去分詞是operated;故答案為:is being operated。

As the bright moon shines over the sea, from far away you share this moment with me (海上生明月,天涯共此時(shí)。). —— written by Zhang Jiuling

The moon is at its fullest and brightest on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar (陰歷). On this day, people celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. It is also known as Chinese Moon Festival. It has been enjoying great popularity all over the country.

In ancient China, that day was a harvest (收獲) festival because crops (莊稼) were harvested during that period. It was a time for relaxation and celebration.

Just like Thanksgiving in Western countries, families also try to get together for the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Usually, no matter how far away or how busy they are, people will try to return home for the celebration. And people who can’t go home for some reason will admire the moon and think about their families.

The Mid-Autumn has its own special food just as other traditional Chinese holidays. People eat mooncakes with fillings such as sugar and eggs. The round shape of the cake makes it look like the full moon. The full moon and mooncakes symbolize family reunion (團(tuán)聚).

With the beautiful moon up in the sky, people sit together, enjoy the full moon, eat moon cakes and fruit, share the stories, and express the best wishes for the family members and friends who live far away.

1When is Chinese Moon Festival?

The holiday is coming to us. Finally, after months of study, you have some time to yourself. So, why not read a book? Well, some people will say, “Why do you like reading books? We have Internet. It offers a lot of more colorful fun. Books are history!” But I am sure you can learn a lot from books than Internet.

One clear reason is that a well-chosen book can give you a lot of wonderful words, as long as you have a good dictionary, of course. Believe me; it’s far easier to get new words from a book or an article than it is from the TV or the Internet.

But another more important point is that books give you something that the Internet cannot. The general webpage (網(wǎng)頁) is picture-heavy and the text is as easy to read as possible. While “easy” may attract (吸引) you, unluckily it’s not helpful for any long-term development of reading skills and the general language level. Because of that, reading on the Internet can’t take the place of reading books.

But perhaps the best reason is that just choosing what you read and doing it independently means that it’s something you do by and for yourself. You can choose what you want to read. It’s hard work, but you’ll find that what once seemed like a duty is now a pleasure.

1Does the writer advise people to read books in their holidays?

2What can people get from a well-chosen book?

3What’s the general webpage like?

4How many reasons for reading a book does the writer mention in the passage?

5What does the writer want to tell us in the passage?

Many people seem to know well about the rain forests. Some people even go to the rain forests to spend some of their time trying to make friends with the plants and animals there. The scientists are actually hard at work studying the plants that grow in the very top level of a rain forest. Rain forests are one of the richest environments on Earth. They are home to millions of species of plants and animals. The red research raft provides scientists with a platform from which to study life in the treetops. Scientists can even sleep on the raft, so they can stay up in the treetops for days at a time.

Rain forests cover only about 6 percent of Earth's land surface. However, they contain more than half of the plant species on Earth. Many of these plants provide useful medicines to use against human diseases. In fact, about 25 percent of prescription medicines in the United States are based on chemicals from rain forest plants. Scientists think that many new medicines might be developed from plants that are yet to be discovered.

Unluckily, rain forests are disappearing. Rain forest trees are being cut down for wood. Huge chunks of the forests are cleared to provide land for farm animals and crops. Scientists haven't identified all the plants in these forests yet. Some scientists think thousands of kinds of plants that we'll never even know about are being destroyed each year.

1Is it difficult for scientists to study the rain forest plants?

2Where probably is the red research raft?

3How much of Earth's land surface do rain forests cover?

4What do many of the rain forest plants mainly provide?

5Do you think that scientists will be able to know all about the rain forest plants? Why or why not?
