【答案】
【小題1】would like后加to
【小題2】your→ my
【小題3】them→ whom
【小題4】to→ with
【小題5】make →makes
【小題6】that→which
【小題7】interested→interesting
【小題8】thing →things
【小題9】it→those
【小題10】more→much/把more去掉
【解析】
【小題1】would like后加to考查短語。“would like to do”表示“想要做某事”,是固定用法,故添加to。
【小題2】your→ my考查主語辨析。這篇作文是我對我自己的生活的講述,所以應(yīng)該是我的生活,故改為my。
【小題3】them→ whom考查賓語從句。先行詞是“three other girls”,“all of whom”在從句中做主語,因為前面是介詞of所以后面應(yīng)用賓格形式的疑問詞,故改為whom。
【小題4】to→ with考查短語。“get on well with ”表示“與某人相處的好”,是固定用法,故改為with。
【小題9】it→those考查代詞。“those”指代前面的“The living conditions”,故改為those。
【小題10】more→much/把more去掉考查分分重復(fù)。根據(jù)后面“better”,可知已經(jīng)是比較級的形式,所以前面不用more,或者用 much進行修飾突出強調(diào)作用,故改為much或者去掉more。

【題目】Who knows about sleep? Astronauts (宇航員). They have to. Their bodies are cut off from the outside world that reminds (提醒) us what time it is. But actually, it's even worse than that. An astronaut reported in his diary that he was likely to make mistakes on days following an unusually late bedtime.
So NASA started doing some serious research. They quickly realized that we're a slave to the outside world. Without light and darkness, we' re unable to regulate (管理) sleep times.
Because of modern technology, we're all living more like astronauts now. Light is no longer a function (功能) of the sun, but of always-on indoor lights, TV and computer screens. Temperature no longer follows a cycle of cooling at night and warming during the day. Is it any wonder that a third of Americans have sleep problems?
Maybe you think this doesn't affect you — or at least not much. You're wrong. Research done on non-astronauts has shown the same thing. After two weeks of six hours of sleep a night; you're drunk. By the end of two weeks, the six-hour sleepers behaved as badly as those who hadn't slept for 24 hours.
But what did they say when asked how they felt? "It's not affecting me." So if you are performing poorly because of sleep problems, you may have no idea. This is a real problem.
So what answers did NASA come up with?
Take an hour to calm down before bed. Yes, you're busy. But your time is not more valuable than an astronaut's.
Keep your bedroom dark, cool and free from noise. Even if you think "the light doesn't affect you" or "the noise isn't that bad", it can still affect sleep quality.
Another advice: forget the alarm clock (鬧鐘) in the morning; set an alarm to remind you to go to bed at night. When it goes off, finish up any work on the computer, and turn off any unnecessary lights. This prevents you from cheating yourself on sleep and allows you to wake up naturally.
【1】 What did NASA find about people’s sleep?
A. It takes a long time to develop regular sleep times.
B. It’s strongly influenced by the outside world.
C. It remains untouched by outside influences.
D. It’s hard to change one’s sleep habits.
【2】The biggest problem of those who haven’t enough sleep lies in the fact that .
A. they can’t fall asleep without the lights on
B. they don’t know whether they sleep well
C. they refuse to regulate their sleep times
D. they get too drunk to sleep well
【3】 What does the underlined sentence in the text mean?
A. You should make full use of your time.
B. You can find the time to get ready to sleep.
C. You can sleep later to finish your work first.
D. You should learn from astronauts’ way of sleep.
【4】 What’s the advice on the alarm clock?
A. Use it to remind you to sleep.
B. Put it far away from your bed.
C. Get up immediately when it rings.
. Pay no attention to it when it rings.

【題目】Starting next year, Ford Motor Co. will allow parents to limit the speed at which their teenage children drive their car.
The company will make a new feature on many models that can limit teen drivers to 80 mph(130 kph), using a computer chip(芯片) in the key.
Parents in the United States, where most teens can get their driving license at 16, also have the option of programming the car key to limit the audio system volume(音量), and to sound continuous alarm if the driver doesn’t wear a seat belt.
More than half of parents surveyed worry that their teenage children are driving at unsafe speeds, talking on hand-held cell phones or texting while driving, or otherwise driving without due care and attention. More than a third of parents also are concerned that their teens do not always fasten their safety belts when driving.
“Our message to parents is, hey, we are proving you some conditions to give your new drivers that may allow you to feel a little more comfortable in giving them the car more often,” said Jim Buczkowski, Ford’s director of electronic and electrical systems engineering.
More than 5,000 US teens die each year in car crashes. The rate of crashes, fatal(致命的) and nonfatal, per mile driven for 16-year-old drivers is almost 10 times the rate for drivers aged 30 to 59, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The new feature, called “MyKey”, will be standard on an unspecified number of Ford models when the new models come out late next summer. The feature will spread to the entire Ford, Lincoln and Mercury Lineup as models are updated, spokesman Wes Sherwood said.
The company already uses computer chips in its keys to prevent thefts. The car won’t start unless it recognizes the chip in the key.
“It’s making use of existing technology, and through the magic of software, we’re able to build features on top of the features we already have,” Buczkowski said.
【1】According to the passage, MyKey can ______.
A. limit speed and prevent thefts
B. adjust the audio system’s volume
C. remind drivers to answer the phone
D. help drivers wear a seat belt
【2】According to Jim Buczkowski, MyKey ______.
A. helps parents feel more comfortable in their cars
B. provides parents more chances to get along with children
C. helps parents feel less worried when giving cars to children
D. discourages parents from giving cars to their children more often
【3】From the passage, we can learn that ______.
A. teens often drive 10 times faster than adults
B. many parents think their children drive too fast
C. Ford will take over Lincoln and Mercury Lineup
D. MyKey has nothing to do with existing technology
【4】Ford Motor Company’s new car key may be most welcomed by ______.
A. teens B. passengers C. parents D. policemen

【題目】Small seating in the economy-class(經(jīng)濟艙) sections of airplanes is not just uncomfortable but potentially life-threatening. Space has become so tight that passengers cannot protect themselves in the event of a crash.
A report on a long distance flight from the doctors of Vienna stated that only 10% in economy class could adopt the recommended brace position on the plane’s safety tips in case of emergency, and they were the smallest of the group. And 30% of their fellow passengers traveling in first class could adopt the position, which is internationally recognized as improving the chances of survival in the event of a crash. The authors of the report are now calling for greater space between seat rows to increase safety.
A spokesman for British Airways (BA), which is responsible for safety on all British planes, opposed the idea that small seating was a threat(威脅) to passengers. “We don’t think it is a safety matter,” he said, “We have high safety standards and all UK aircraft meet them.” In the past month, both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic introduced sleeper seats, stressing the outstanding comfort in the front of the planes. But that space gained is space lost in economy.
Until recently, economy class was at least “bearable”—with an 86-centimeter seat. Scheduled Airlines such as BA and KLM gave passengers enough leg room and comfortable seats. But the arrival of new, weight-saving seats caused economy class to take a turn for the worse. Extra rows have been put into the plane, with the result that the average seat now is 79 centimetres. Singapore Airlines has become the latest carrier to narrow down its seats. It announced free wine for economy passengers last September, but at the same time reduced leg room by 8 centimetres.
Economy class on Scheduled Airlines is now often little better than economy on Qatar Airways. Some Qatar Airways even offer the chance to upgrade—at a price—to seats which, at 89-91 centimetres, are roomier than those of most Scheduled Airlines.
【1】What can we learn from the passage?
A. Scheduled Airlines produced new comfortable seats for economy class.
B. Doctors from Vienna said less space between seats could cause danger.
C. Spokesman for BA declared that narrow seat space was a threat.
D. Qatar Airways offered larger seats with no more charge.
【2】What might be the author’s attitude towards reducing the space of economy seats?
A. Neutral.B. Sceptical.C. Supportive.D. Disapproving.
【3】 Where does the passage most probably come from?
A. A biography.B. A book review.
C. A magazine. D. A realistic novel.
