【答案】
Hi Worried,
I'm sorry to know that you're having such a bad time at the moment. The truth is that everyone will have one of those periods when things seem to be going wrong,so you don't have to worry so much. The important thing is to learn to control your temper so that you may not do or say anything you'll regret. Here are three useful tips:
First, talk to someone you trust about how you feel. This is a good way of letting your anger out without hurting others or yourself.Second,go outdoors and play games with your friends as physical exercise is an effective way to get rid of anger. And third, remain optimistic about your future.Such a positive attitude towards life can be helpful in lifting your spirits.
I hope you'll soon feel calmer and carry on as normal.

【題目】閱讀下面的短文,然后按照要求寫一篇120詞左右的英語短文。
For long, there was a little boy with a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he would hammer a nail in the back fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Then it gradually dwindled(逐漸減少) down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.
He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day when he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, “You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there. A verbal (言語的) wound is as bad as a physical one. Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care.”
【寫作內(nèi)容】

【寫作要求】
(1)寫作時,可以參考閱讀材料,但不得直接引用原文;

【題目】C
The creative projects of World Food Program (WFP) focused on preventing hunger from taking hold in the future and breaking the cycle of hunger. Here are some of the ways in which we work to prevent hunger in the future:
School Meals
As well as directly addressing hunger, School Meals projects encourage families to keep their children in school and help them build better futures. If children aren’t hungry they will concentrate on their lessons. With a solid education growing children have a better chance of finding their own way out of hunger. These projects benefit girls especially. For more information: www.wfp.org/schools meals.
Food for Assets(有用的人)
WFP’s Food for Assets projects provide the hungry with food to lay the foundation for a better tomorrow. When poor farmers no longer have to worry about the next meal, they have the time and energy to build irrigation(灌溉) systems that can increase production. Similarly, Food for Training projects allow the poor to devote time to learning skills that will sustain(維持) them economically in the future. For more information: www.wfp.org/food-assets.
HIV/AIDS
WFP uses its food rations(配給) to reduce the blow of HIV and AIDS. The agency distributes its rations to people living with HIV and AIDS, so they can keep providing for their families for longer and have time to transfer vital knowledge and skills to the growing number of AIDS children--the next generation of food providers in developing countries. For more information: www.wfp.org/hiv-aids.
Purchase for Progress
WFP buys large amounts of food in developing countries. It has this purchasing power and uses it to help poor farmers contact reliable markets where they can get competitive prices for their produce. With secure markets, farmers will be encouraged to produce more and innovate(創(chuàng)新).The knock-on effect is producing more food for everyone. For more information: www.wfp.ofp/purchase-progress.

Selfie
Social media and the mobile web have given rise to a strange phenomenon called the selfie(自拍). It refers to a picture of yourself, usually shared on any social networking website.
【1】 Some selfies are extreme close-ups(特寫鏡頭), and others show part of an arm held straight outward. A few of them even feature the subject standing in front of a bathroom mirror.
Everyone takes selfies, but the younger crowd seems to be especially involved in the trend. Young people are relatively heavier digital users. They are interested in staying connected to their friends. 【2】
There are also kinds of psychological factors driving people to take a selfie and upload it to a social networking site. 【3】 A quick and easy way to attract other's attention is to get "likes" and comments from friends. Secondly, it's human nature to show off your own great achievements. When you feel good about yourself or look good, it's far too easy to take out your phone and document it all through one or several selfies. 【4】 That's right. Sometimes people are bored at work, bored at school, bored at home and even bored on the toilet. Last but not least, social media is about being social! If that means uploading as many selfies as possible, then so be it. It's fun, and it's a cool way to sort of document your own life.
Finally, there are things to be mindful of when you're posting. It's easy to think you're sharing a photo with a few people. 【5】 So don't post anything online, selfie especially.
A. There are lots of selfie styles.
B. The rise of selfies has become universal.
C. Social media, to some extent, is the driving force of their selfie activity.
D. The desire to take, post and get "likes" on selfies goes back to a biological behavior.
E. But the whole world of social media is public and every individual can get access to it.
F. There are also people who will take selfies because they have nothing else better to do.
G. The leading factor is that people want to get attention from as many people as possible.

I am angry about the behavior of dishonest in exams. This doesn’t mean I’ve never cheated. I once write the answers on my hand for a history test, but unluckily caught by my teacher. Because she was one of my most favorites, there were no words to describe what sorry I felt at that time. I thought cheat would help me keep my straight A. Little I know that I was hurting not only me but also my teacher. From this lesson I know our teachers want their students to succeed by learning with their own and do the best they can, not by cheating.

【題目】With around 100 students scheduled to be in that 9 am Monday morning lecture, it is no surprise that almost 20 people actually make it to the class and only 10 of them are still awake after the first 15 minutes; it is not even a surprise that most of them are still in their pyjamas(睡衣). Obviously, students are terrible at adjusting their sleep cycles to their daily schedule.
All human beings possess a body clock. Along with other alerting(警報)systems, this governs the sleep/wake cycle and is therefore one of the main processes which govern sleep behaviour. Typically, the preferred sleep/wake cycle is delayed in adolescents, which leads to many students not feeling sleepy until much later in the evenings. This typical sleep pattern is usually referred to as the“night owl”schedule of sleep.
This is opposed to the“early bird”schedule, and is a kind of disorder where the individual tends to stay up much past midnight. Such a person has great difficulty in waking up in the mornings. Research suggests that night owls feel most alert and function best in the evenings and at night. Research findings have shown that about 20 percent of people can be classified as“night owls”and only 10 percent can be classified as“early birds”—the other 70 percent are in the middle. Although this is clearly not true for all students, for the ones who are true night owls this gives them an excellent excuse for missing their lectures which unfortunately fall before midday.
【1】 What does the author stress in Paragraph 1?
A. Many students are absent from class.
B. Students are very tired on Monday mornings.
C. Students do not adjust their sleep patterns well.
D. Students are not well prepared for class on Mondays.
【2】Which of the following is true according to Paragraph 2?
A. Most students prefer to get up late in the morning.
B. Students don’t sleep well because of alerting systems.
C. One’s body clock governs the sleep/wake cycle independently.
D. Adolescents’delayed sleep/wake cycle isn’t the preferred pattern.
【3】Which of the following is closest in meaning to the underlined word “classified”?
A. Criticised. B. Grouped. C. Organised. D. Named.
【4】What does the text mainly talk about?
A. Functions of the body clock.
B. The “night owl” phenomenon.
C. Human beings’ sleep behaviour.
D. The school schedule of “early birds”.
