故填To help。
【3】考查讓步狀語從句。句意:不管我是在健身房還是在路上,我緊張的能量推動(dòng)我完成第一英里。whether...or…表示“不管……還是……”引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。句首字母要大寫。故填Whether。

【題目】Phuket, Thailand
With its dry season stretching from November to April, there are few more reliable destinations for a sunny escape than Phuket in winter. Thailand's biggest island is a holiday icon, starting as a backpacker get-away and now a mainstream favorite. Besides blue water, fine beaches, palm trees and massage, the sunsets from Phromthep Cape at the southern tip are marvelous.
Sicily, Italy
Winter in Sicily means fewer crowds, bright blue skies, and almond trees in full bloom. It also means you'll have the island's stunning Baroque towns and extraordinary archeological (考古學(xué)的) sites all to yourself and that you'll be able to ski on Mount Etna, indulge in delicious cuisine, and enjoy beautiful Taormina at its most relaxed.
Xishuangbanna, China
Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province is one of the most-visited spots in China. As the country's only tropical rainforest nature reserve, it has surprising biological diversity. The climate is humid and warm here, and the temperature gap between the coldest month and the hottest month is only 10 degrees Celsius, which makes it one of the ideal places to enjoy pleasant temperatures during the cold months.
Quy Nho'n, Vietnam
Sitting between the busy coastal cities of Nha Trang and Hoi An, Quy Nho'n is a relatively unknown, quiet beach town. The intense resort development seen in the country's more popular seaside locations has yet to reach this region, making for a perfect place for a relaxed getaway. Besides fresh seafood, there lies a pretty cove beach around a dozen kilometers south of Quy Nho'n, where there is a collection of fine hotels popular with independent travelers.
Alaska, the United States
Alaska has a natural landscape that seems at times untouched by humanity. Anchorage, the state's largest city, has the typical Iditarod Dog Race, which alone is worth a trip to see. 【題目】 It was late, about 10:15 p.m., when Janice Esposito arrived at the Bellport train station; she jumped into her Honda Odyssey and began the 20-minute drive home to her husband and seven-year-old son. She’d just returned from visiting her mother and had traveled the route many times before. She practically _______ on autopilot: a left onto Station Road, then a left on Montauk Highway, and then—wham! Out of nowhere a car T-boned Esposito’s minivan, _______ her to move backward some 100 feet onto the railroad tracks. She _______ in the minivan, bruised (撞傷) but mostly just knocked out by the _________ and the airbags.
As it happened, Pete DiPinto was getting ready for _______. He’d just closed his book and was getting under the covers when he heard the sound of metal on metal and breaking glass coming from not far outside his bedroom window. A volunteer_______and retired teacher, DiPinto, 64, never _______to think. He grabbed a flashlight and, still dressed in his pajamas (睡衣), ran out the door. “Any firefighter would have done what I did,” he told Newsday. “We’re always on_______.”
The first car he came upon, 2,000 feet from his front yard, was the one that had _______Esposito. Once DiPinto concluded the driver was OK, he looked around and __________Esposito’s minivan positioned on the railroad tracks. And then he heard a terrible sound: the bells signaling an oncoming __________.
“The gates were starting to come down,” he told Newsday. “I see the headlight of the train.” DiPinto ran quickly to Esposito’s minivan and knocked on the driver’s side window. She __________ looked at him, her eyes unfocused. “I don’t know where I am,” she said. She seemed unhurt. “Honey, you’re on the railroad __________,” DiPinto shouted. “We have to get you off right now!” He pulled hard on the __________, but the door was crashed in and __________. The heavy diesel train, traveling at 65 miles per hour, was moving fast toward them. DiPinto ran to the passenger side and threw open the __________. “Please, don’t let her be __________,” he thought. He pushed aside the deflating (癟了的) airbags, grabbed Esposito’s arms, and__________her toward him across the passenger seat until he could help her out and quickly get her to ____________ behind a signal box a few feet away. Within six seconds, he estimated, the train crashed into the minivan. “It was like a Hollywood movie,” DiPinto told reporters the next day.
But this one had a twist. “Last night,” South Country Ambulance chief Greg Miglino told CBS New York, “the__________ arrived in pajamas, not in a fire truck.”

Childhood is an unforgettable time full of funny and amazed stories. Be a child, I wrote my last will. All my toys are to go to our cat, my room—to Tom, the local beggar who always said “hi" to me kind. My textbook about politeness was to go to my brother, so we had had a fight not long before. I brought the list to my aunt, who was the lawyer. She sent copy of my list to all our relatives and then put the original on her desk in to a frame. That way, I laughed at by not only my family but all my customers.

Last month, I took part in a volunteer activity in a village. We start off by bus at 9 o’clock. After three-hour bus ride, we saw the village surrounded by hills. It was very difficult to drive on the rocky road, but we got off the bus and walked there. The villagers standing by the road welcomed us warm. Cooked with those vegetables grow by the villagers, the lunch was tasted delicious. After lunch, we played game with the village children. Then they visited an old man living alone on the hillside. We sang a few songs, what made him really happy. I think when doing volunteer work, you help others and you gain happiness for return.
